Wind & CSP

Wind Turbines

One of the most common renewable energy solutions is wind power. With wind turbines, the kinetic velocity is changed to DC electricity and then to AC through appropriate inverters to feed in the loads. Given a suitable location with distinctive wind speeds, the wind turbine can be a reliable energy source for sustainable projects.

Smart Age offers a comprehensive range of wind turbines with various KW production capacities, along with state-of-the-art wind inverters to control the overall wind harvesting and electrical redirection.

Knowing that wind increases in winter and decreases in summer, unlike the sun insulation that decreases in winter and increases in summer, the two renewable technologies Wind Turbines and PV can be combined together in the so called hybrid solar-wind system to complement each other during the various seasons, hence realizing a more stable and reliable energy yield all through the year.

Concentrated Solar Power

Concentrated Solar Power Systems (CSP) use mirrors or lenses to concentrate a large area of sunlight, or solar thermal energy, onto a small area. Electrical power is produced when the concentrated light is converted to heat, which drives a heat engine (usually a steam turbine) connected to an electrical power generator.

CSP is mainly installed for industrial applications requiring steam energy, or even the steam produced by the system can in turn be used for heating or cooling applications.
